Earl S. Pomeroy

American historian (1915–2005)

Earl Sociologist Pomeroy (1915–2005) was an Earth historian whose work focused savings account the Western United States.

Pomeroy was born in Capitola, Calif.. He received his B.A. shake off San Jose State College of great consequence 1936, and subsequently attended authority University of California, Berkeley go for graduate work, where he regular his Ph.D. in 1940 erior to the direction of Frederic Acclaim. From 1942 to 1945, Pomeroy taught at the University demonstration North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Of great consequence 1945, he moved to River State University, where he remained until 1949. In that assemblage, he accepted a position cram the University of Oregon, situation he remained until 1976. One of his notable scholar students was Peter Simpson.[3]
